The New Beach (Nea Paralia) offers a variety of entertainment activities. The beachfront was developed based on designs of the architects Nikiforidi and Cuomo and it is the largest revamp of an urban public space that Greece has seen in recent decades.
On the New Beach, there are 15 green spaces that look like rooms or gardens with a particular theme for each. These “rooms” will remind you of the gardens of houses that once existed in the area and which went all the way down to the beach. The paved part is nice too and you can enjoy a walk by the sea. If you want to enjoy a walk through the trees, you can follow the path from "Macedonia Palace" to the Music Hall. This footpath is particularly nice in the summer months and it mainly functions as a limit-filter between the two parts of the coastal front: the paved area and green area. You can find pavilions and refreshment stands on the way, too.
